Rinearson Creek originates in the Boardman Wetlands and flows south. It spends half of its journey piped underground, and emerges as surface flow periodically to pass through areas of potentially high habitat value such as the Olson Wetlands and the Meldrum Bar Park and Natural Area. This is the smallest tributary in the area, but the 20 acres at the confluence with the Willamette River in Meldrum Bar Park is very important and is designated as a natural area and is being restored.
